Rachel Smith-Spence: Royal Academy of Dance Ballet, Lyrical, Worship Dance, Musical Theatre, Tap, Jazz

I am a Registered Royal Academy of Dance Teacher with six years experience teaching from preschool aged children to adults in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, and Hip Hop. I have been training in many styles of dance for over 20 years including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and more. As a student I completed exams with the Royal Academy of Dance up to Advanced 1 level. I also competed at the World Tap Dance Championships in Germany, and competed at NYCDA dance Competition in New York. In my teacher training I completed a 2 year Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies program, and also volunteered several hours a week with R.A.D. certified teachers to learn to teach as well as they do. I also attend yearly courses with the Royal Academy of Dance to ensure I always have the most up to date knowledge and skills.

I grew up helping my mom in her child care centers, so when I started teaching it came very naturally to me. I have been working with Cindy in Child Care since I was 12 years old. I also have my Early Childhood Educators Assistant License which is especially helpful to keep young students engaged in their dance classes.
